item wins “iF product design award 2011 gold”

On 1 March, item was presented with a coveted “iF gold award 2011” for product design. Industry insiders often refer to the iF awards as the “Oscars of the design world”.

The award-winner was one of our new products launched in autumn 2010 – the storage system for tools, which is available as a versatile accessory solution for workbenches. Winning this award puts item in good company, with famous names such as SONY, Apple and Puma also earning “iF gold awards 2011”.

Here are the judging panel’s reasons for picking item:

“These hooks and holders were made for use in an industrial context. That’s what defines the design requirements: easy to use, easy to install, simple to clean, made from the right material – stainless steel, in this case – they should make the job easier.
